This is my tribute to Chef Gordon Ramsay……. whatever your rudeness quotient, You totally rock!!!!!! My kiddo is very fond of Dominos choco lava cake and believe me I have tried recreating it umpteen times and it was a total mess…. Thanks to this recipe I did come out with flying colours. Found this little gem in BBC Good Food.The simplicity of this recipe is its USP…..and whats more..the batter can be made in advance and kept in the fridge. You just need to take it out and bake!!! Totally ideal for those diwali guests.



  1. In a double boiler melt the chocolate and butter together. Beat the eggs and the sugar together. Now add the melted chocolate and butter mixture.
  2. Add the flour little at a time till all the flour is used up.
  3. Prepare the molds by greasing them with butter, here you need to grease them twice. Grease them once, pop them in the fridge for 5 mins. Remove and grease with butter again. Now dust the molds with cocoa powder.
  4. Pour in the fondant batter and bake at 180 degrees till the crust forms at the top. This will take about 8 to 10 mins. Remove and cool for 5 mins. Demould them very gently. Serve with vanilla icecream.
