 This Masala is used in most of Traditional Marathi recipes.Especially Vaadval recipes( Local recipes from Mumbai/Virar /Vasai) The same masala can be used to stuff bhindi,Brinjals, tendli, padwal etc with some slight variantions. It very simple to make and sure adds a delicious twist to those boring Karelas and Shiralas!



  1. Roast the coconut for 3 to 4 mins on low flame. Now add the kokums, roasted groundnuts, kalonji, jeera powder, dhania powder, pepper powder, sugar and the salt. Grind the masala coarsely.
