Rocky Road!!!!! Why this name??????   Mmmmmm…… Well somewhere it reminds me of the village roads. Those mud roads where dark rocks or stones just protrude out of no where. Feeling Nostalgic now….   Any way couldn’t think of any other apt name for this creation. “Creation” I say because this recipe was created because my cake became just too crumbly. Yup disasters happen!!!   You don’t need to wait for disaster to happen, just use a left over cake.   And yes it does taste somewhat like burfee, so go indulge yourself!!!

  1. Crumble the cake in a bowl. Add the butter and mix. Now add the chocolate pieces and Hazelnuts. You can also use choco chips.
  2. Grease and dust a cake tin. Add the mixture and flatten it. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 mins. Cool and cut into squares.

Hi! I am Sonali, mom to a fast growing teenager and a homemaker.I love to cook, read and travel ( and in that order). I believe that travel keeps the cook ever so innovative. Each time I travel, I scourge the market places and eateries for some new ingredient or recipies. I believe that every type of cuisine has its own story to relate……One that’s fascinating.Being born and brought up in Mumbai which is often called “a melting pot of culinary delights” helped me explore and experiment with a wide range of cuisines. So come share with me the tang of lime, the bite of chilli, the fresh herbs, the crunch of raw veggies and experience the wide spectrum of textures and sharp flavours of different cusines.
