A Chicken Lollipop is a classic Indo-Chinese fusion enjoyed by Indians of every class! You get this spicy red coloured fried chicken wings at elite restaurants, as well as the local chinese carts. Ofcourse the taste and method varies slightly, nevertheless, it still remains delicious and appealing for adults and children. Chicken lollipop is a method of preparing chicken wing ,wherein the meat from the segments is scraped at the end of the wing bone,in such a way that it resembles a lollipop. The meat is marinated in chinese seasonings and sauces and fried in a batter of eggs and flour. Its served with sichuan sauce as dipping sauce,or can be tossed in a spicy sauce for more flavouring. As a kid, I loved indulging in noodles ,fried rice and lollipops from local chinese restaurants or carts. The best part of ordering a chinese takeaway was the good quantity or portions that were packed in a single serving. That made it an affordable eat out or takeaway option! However we didnt have the luxury of overindulgence, considering we were 3 siblings and a family of 6 including my parents and grandmom. I was a die hard foodie by birth and I still remember, how I devoured those lollipops till the last morsel of meat on the bone! I can see myself when I see my toddler indulging in these homemade lollies and the Mom in me takes a satisfied sigh!
