Make everyday cooking Nice with Galaji Spice:Product Review of Galaji Spices

By Harshada

The days most dreaded question for most home cooks is "Aaj Khane mein kya hain?(whats for dinner?' running out of options, the Tindas and Laukis start coming on the menu, only to see the crinkled faces of kids and family and pat comes a guilt laden reply "Come on,you are our In house Master Chef, you can make it better!" And then just like a cooking contest participant you get back to the kitchen aka battlefield to fight the battle.

Most of us then try to find refuge in commercial ready mixes , only to be disappointed with the artificial taste that's dominated with fillers and onion tomato powders.  At least that's been my personal experience so far. But Galaji Spice Mixes changed that completely. Not only that there was variety, be it Indian or Continental , but Galaji totally revolutionized the concept of ready mixes in my Kitchen. It's surprising that the same brand that offers a perfect paneer butter masala mix, also offers a terrific pasta and noodle mix too. What more, you have a really great shortcut way to make your own dips without buying a variety of sauces, mayos or spreads. All you need to do is add water to the Galaji dips and whisk!

The spice mixes are so versatile that you can use them as a seasoning on other recipes too. So innovation is something that comes casual with Galaji Spices.Thought about a tawa pulao with szechwan masala? or a paratha with an Italian dip? That's how innovative people get when they use Galaji spices. And be rest assured about the quality..The owner Mr.Chandubhai Gala fondly called as Galaji says"I wont sell a product that I cant cook and eat at my own house." Whereas The Galaji Spices are available at leading dryfruit and grcery stores, they can also be ordered from Rangat Foods for a home delivery. (Rangat foods is a house of selected, premium, healthy and exclusive food products, owned by Saumil Thakkar.)

Our review on Rangat Foods

I played it safe and tried using the Galaji Stuffed vegetable masala in this quick and easy Mushroom Sukka. The results were tasty and quick vegetable that's now a family favorite.

The Paneer Butter Cheese masala is another staple in my kitchen. Its a versatile masala mix with adequate thickening agents, so when you add the spice mix to your recipe, you get a restaurant style thick and rich gravy.

There are recipe instructions at the back of each pack, however, I prefer using it more as a main spicing ingredient rather than a base of the gravy . So its imperative for me to make my own onion tomato puree and gravy first before I start my star curry! But the end result is a very Unique taste that is very much unforgettable! So don't be surprised if your guests get themselves invited for a dinner yet again!

 Mushroom Sukka

Ingredients:

8-10 Button Mushrooms,washed and diced

The Mushrooms can be cut into bigger chunks for making a snack or appetiser.
